Hi Valued Customer,

I wanted to make you aware of some changes I'll be making to the hosting package that you're currently using. The following package changes will take effect on June 1, 2022.

  • Pure-Ecommerce Package - Mercury Hosting
    • It will now show on your invoice as "The Mercury Plan"
    • The monthly price remains $10.95/mo.
    • The 1GB Disk Space quota has increased to 2GB 🎉
    • The 8GB bandwidth limit is unchanged
    • FlexUse Billing will no longer apply
  • Package: Pure-Ecommerce Package - Venus Hosting
    • It will now show on your invoice as "The Venus Plan"
    • The monthly price remains $15.95/mo.
    • The 5GB Disk Space quota has increased to 7GB 🎉
    • FlexUse Billing will no longer apply
  • Package: Pure-Ecommerce Package - Earth Hosting
    • It will now show on your invoice as "The Earth Plan
    • The monthly price remains $20.95/mo.
    • The 8GB Disk Space quota has increased to 10GB 🎉
    • FlexUse Billing will no longer apply

FLEXUSE BILLING - Effective June 1, 2022
FlexUse payments were introduced as a way to keep sites active even if they'd gone over resource usage. There would just be a per-MB charge in lieu of suspending the site. Unfortunately, this has led to many clients simply abandoning their accounts and leaving me with the extra usage fees. Boo!

I'm hoping the increase in disk space will help prevent those overages, and any sites going over limit will be suspended. The limits in cPanel and our billing interface will match, so you can keep an eye on those as needed.

SITE SUSPENSIONS - Effective Immediately
Due to the removal of FlexUse billing, unpaid invoices will result in site suspension 30-days after the invoice due date. 

LATE FEES - Effective June 1, 2022
Late fees will remain at $5/mo., but should only accrue one late fee per invoice due to the changes in suspension time limits.

FAQ
Q. What if I have overage charges now?
A. Accounts with existing overage charges will have those converted to an invoice before being moved to the new package. Overages are generally charged the following month, so it may take 30 days in some scenarios before you see those.

Q. What if my account is currently over the new package limits?
A. If that's the case, I will upgrade you to the next package so your site remains online. Per our ToS, we don't allow the storage of archived files (zip files) on hosting accounts. Generally, these are backup files and will be removed first to ensure the package requires an upgrade.

Q. Will I be notified if I'm close to my disk and bandwidth limits?
A. Yes, but please ensure your email address is set correctly in your cPanel under Contact Information so those will reach you at the correct email address.

Q. Will I be notified if my site is suspended?
A. Yes, we send out multiple emails leading up to any suspension. Once a site is suspended, we send one last email and we'll also attempt to reach you by automated phone call, or text message, depending on your contact preferences.
