Backup Database

It is important to back up your database as often as possible, especially after making many changes.

To back up your system:

  1. If you have a table selection list, select the tables you wish to back up by holding down the Ctrl button while choosing your tables.
  2. If it is an option, select whether you want to save table information or just data.
  3. Click the `Create Database Backup` button. This will create a temporary file on your system.
  4. To download the file and save to your computer, click the database file, which will be in the format db_backup_MMDDYY.sql. On some systems, you may need to right mouse click and select `Save Target As...`, then save to a location on your computer.
  5. Keep the backups on your computer for safekeeping. If your web server ever crashes, you will be able to reload your database and you will not lose any information.
  6. Backups will be deleted when you navigate away from the backup area, so be sure to download the file to your computer after creating the backup file.

Backups will override any similar named backup. If you create two backups on the same day, only the last backup created will be saved.

Important Note: Every attempt has been made to create a backup procedure that is complete and functional. However, backups are not a promise of data security, and no guarantee can be made regarding the backup process. Please check all data before counting on it for restorations.
